SYMPOSIUM VENUE

Maragogi is located at 125 km from Maceió, the capital from the state of Alagoas, and 130 km from Recife, the capital of the state of Pernambuco. The city is linked to both capitals by a well paved route and can be reached by car or shuttle service in approximately two hours driving with beautiful landscape.

Recife's Airport is one of the main international airports of Brazil and it is also linked to the two main Brazilian International Airports, Guarulhos (São Paulo) and Galeão (Rio de Janeiro), by several internal flights. At the present date TAP, the Portuguese airlines, operates daily flight to Recife international airport and also to other cities located in the Northeast region of Brazil (like Fortaleza and Salvador) from where the participants can fly to Recife. On the other hand Maceió’s Airport is linked to all the main Brazilian airports (Salvador, Recife, Guarulhos (São Paulo) and Galeão (Rio de Janeiro)) by regular flights available on a daily basis and at different times.

Transfer to the Symposium place must be made individually by each participant.
Although the Symposium Organization will not be responsible for in and out transfers to the Symposium site, in the near future information about transfer reservation will be available in this site.

Location:

The X EMCR will take place at “Salinas do Maragogi” Resort in the city of Maragogi-Al. The city is located at the coral reef coast, the largest marine conservation region of Brazil, where ocean, rivers and mangroves coexist in their native form.
Internationally known as the Brazilian Caribe, Maragogi is notorious for its “galés”, natural oceanic pools with crystal clear water, where you can swim surrounded by multicoloured fishes.

The climate is tropical, and during November, the temperature is seldom below 22°C or above 30°C with almost no rain prevision.

The Symposium site provides an ideal place for working and relaxing between working sessions. Aware of this splendid natural environment, the organization of the Symposium will manage the conferences timetable in such a way to give the opportunity to all the participants to enjoy the natural beauties of this paradisiacal place without missing stimulating scientific sessions.
